Stills from films I made as part of a Unit(e) residency at G39, Cardiff where I produced a number of strands of Moving image work based around notions of ‘duration’- beginning, middle and end and stemming from my film x=0.
Many of the films I’ve made here use the mechanism of the shared single frame which is present in a piece of Moving Image material both when it is shown forwards and backwards. I also produced a triptych of films around mathematical asymptotes– lines which always get closer to on another but never meet.
A foot-pedal triggered kinetic video sculpture incorporating kinetic light sculpture, video screen, poem, coconuts and sniff boxes. The Legend of Hoof Hearted imagines a race in which the champion horse Hoof Hearted sheds his jockey and runs into the stars to become immortal.
